“Underwater Archaeology at the National Park Service
James E. Bradford
National Park Service

By 1980, the National Park Service recognized the need to inventory and document submerged archeological sites within units managed by that agency. An important piece to the documentation was how to map underwater sites, particularly shipwrecks. Former park service archeologist Jim Bradford will present a program on techniques used in mapping shipwrecks as they evolved over more than three decades.

In 2016, James E. Bradford was an Archaeologist at the National Park Service in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
